Thank you for spending time visiting my website, i never thought back in march 2019 that I would be doing this full time. I have always loved making things out of wood and when I started to work for my wife for Butterflies Of Britain (nature education programme) it was a perfect time. We use various items for our programme so by me making them we got exactly what we wanted. After posting photographs of what I had made we had great a response then started to sell a few items. COVID-19 then happened then with work stopping I had a couple of hours free so I then went to the shed on my scroll saw.

Initially making chunky letters and woodland animals out of wood, getting away from plastic so make learning items feel better when handled. Wanting to make more items, ideas starting to pop out of my head. I then started looking into buying a laser, only a table top one to start but that is where the ID boards came from. Using my photographs and converting them to a laser file these soon went onto a board.

Working with this little table top laser soon became obvious that I needed a bigger version, orders were coming in and ideas were expanding. I then spent a lot of time researching different machines then found the perfect match for me. Opus CNC machine has been brilliant with no fuse, after being self taught I’ve only called them twice due to my errors.

Selling on Facebook and Etsy I have now found that my own website was the best option, I will still be selling on the other sites but this will be the main option. I now have a lovely following all over the world even with personalised orders coming in from other craft makers.
